10th Annual Frightful 5K & Pumpkin 1K

About This Event

Join the 10th Annual Frightful 5K! Race route runs onto Big Beaver Rd. and Civic Center Campus. Spooky, creative, and funny costumes encouraged. Includes a Pumpkin 1K for kids.

What to Expect

• 1.There are two options: the 5K for runners and a shorter 1K Pumpkin run for kids. Check the event's registration details for age guidance and whether children need an adult alongside them.
• 2.Costumes are encouraged, but keep yours comfortable and easy to move in. Test that hats, capes, and accessories won't trip you up or block your vision.
• 3.Plan to arrive early enough to park, pick up any race materials, and get settled before the 8:30 start. Race-morning parking and check-in details aren't provided, so confirm them with the organizers.
• 4.Late October mornings in Michigan can be chilly, so bring a warm layer you can take off before running. The event is at the Troy Community Center on Livernois Road.
• 5.This is a family-friendly community race, so expect a mix of runners, kids, and spectators rather than a quiet training run. Food and drink availability isn't listed, so bring water if you need it.
