What to Expect
- 1.Get there early to snag a good view of the balloon launches and the fireworks, and factor in extra time for parking at Howell High School. Carpool or rideshare can save you headaches on event day.
- 2.Bring sunscreen, hats, and water; it's a daytime outdoor event on school grounds, and concession lines can be long so pack some snacks or a small cooler.
- 3.Check the official schedule for balloon activity and fireworks, since times shift with the weather. The day-of schedule is posted at the venue and on the event app if available.
- 4.Expect family-friendly food and activities, with lines that can move slowly—plan a loop so the kids get a mix of viewing and playtime. Bring cash and/or cards for vendors and set a snack budget.
- 5.Keep kids within sight in the crowd and follow staff directions around the field; for photography, arrive with a simple lens and shoot from the edges of the launch area for the best balloon shots.
