The Howell Melon Festival celebrates its 66th year with a community tradition featuring the Howell Melon Run, live music, and delicious Howell Melon Ice Cream.

- 1.From someone who has done this festival a few times, if you want to catch the Melon Run, plan to be on Howell Main Street by around 8:30 a.m. After that, the downtown area fills up with live music and melon ice cream stalls along Clinton Street.
- 2.The crowd is friendly and casual, so you can just wander and chat with vendors or neighbors if you feel like it.
- 3.The melon ice cream is a must try, but lines can get long during peak music times so grab a scoop in between acts.
