A three-day celebration of African culture, history, and community featuring live music, an African marketplace, and a food pavilion.
What to Expect
- 1.Check the daily schedule ahead of time and map out which acts you want to catch, and where the African marketplace and food pavilion are so you don’t wander aimlessly.
- 2.This is an outdoor, multi-day festival, so bring sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle, and seek shade during peak sun.
- 3.Cash or card may be accepted at vendors, but some stalls are cash-only—bring a little cash for those lines and quick purchases.
- 4.Pack a portable charger; you’ll take a lot of photos and videos and want to stay powered for schedules and maps.
- 5.Arrive early if you can to snag a good spot for acts and line up food before peak times, and consider using public transit or rideshare to avoid parking headaches at Hart Plaza.
