What to Expect

• 1.Expect a drum-forward show with high-energy dance pieces rooted in Black cultural heritage. There will be call-and-response moments and drum solos you won't want to miss.
• 2.The crowd will feel warm and community-centered—it's easy to clap along and even dance a little if you want, so read the room and join in.
• 3.Plan to arrive a bit early for parking and seating; The Hawk is a busy community center, so spots fill up and seats are first-come, first-served.
• 4.Food options inside are often limited at community-center events, so eat beforehand or grab something nearby before or after the show.
• 5.If you have sensitive ears, consider bringing ear protection or sitting toward the back; the percussion can be loud but it's part of the experience.
