What to Expect
- 1.Plan to arrive around 12:45–1:00 PM to grab a good spot on the Campus Martius Park lawn and catch the 1 PM kickoff; themed entertainment rotates weekly, so check the schedule beforehand.
- 2.This is a free family-friendly series, so bring a blanket or portable chair, sunscreen, hats, and snacks; there are park vendors and water fountains, but you may want to feed kids before you go.
- 3.Parking near 800 Woodward Ave can be tight on Sundays, so consider transit or rideshare; if you drive, arrive early to find a spot.
- 4.Most activities are kid-centered and hands-on, but some areas may require adult supervision; keep an eye on the little ones and know where restrooms are.
- 5.Dress for the weather and the outdoors; in summer it can get hot, so wear comfortable shoes and bring a light layer or rain gear just in case.
