Community pickleball tournament hosted by the Commerce Township Parks & Recreation Department.
What to Expect
- 1.You'll see several pickleball courts set up in Commerce Township Hall with players warming up and brackets posted on a board. Matches run throughout the morning, so you can drop in anytime.
- 2.The crowd is friendly and chatty, but it is a tournament so some players focus hard between points. If you're solo, volunteers are usually around to introduce you to people or point you to where to watch.
- 3.Hydration is key since indoor gyms can heat up; bring a refillable bottle and wear non marking court shoes. There may be water stations but don't count on full concessions.
- 4.Logistics: arrive early to check in at the front desk, grab a seat in spectator areas, and follow posted signs for brackets and court assignments. Parking is typically in the town hall lot, and expect some walking between rooms.
- 5.First timer tip: ask about beginner brackets or open play after the main draws; introduce yourself to a volunteer or player and you might find someone to team up with for a few games.
