What to Expect
- 1.Arrive a few minutes early and check in with the front desk so someone can point you to the meeting space in Plymouth District Library.
- 2.If you’re into writing, bring a laptop or notebook and take advantage of the library’s quiet spaces and local archives to research Plymouth stories before you draft anything.
- 3.For photographers or designers, bring samples or a quick portfolio and ask about editorial guidelines and image releases so your work fits the paper’s needs.
- 4.This is a longer session (6pm–midnight), so bring a charger and water and plan for short breaks; use the library’s seating and, if needed, a quick walk to reset during long brainstorming stretches.
- 5.If you’re new, introduce yourself, ask about submission timelines and responsibilities, and look for a volunteer role that fits your skills in writing, photography, editing, or design.
