Concert of Colors: Joan Belgrave & Bill Meyer Group

About This Event

A 'Salute to Motown' performance featuring jazz vocalist Joan Belgrave and the Bill Meyer Group with special guest Al Chisholm.

What to Expect

• 1.Arrive a bit early to wander the Detroit Historical Museum's Motown exhibits before the 6:30 pm show and grab a good seat.
• 2.This is a compact, seated performance, so for the best sightlines pick a seat near the stage and expect a warm, club like vibe rather than a stadium feel.
• 3.The crowd will be a mix of history buffs and music fans, but keep conversations low during numbers and mute your phone.
• 4.Downtown Detroit parking can be tight after 6 pm, so give yourself extra time or plan to use transit or rideshare.
• 5.Check the museum's photography policy and keep the flash off so you can enjoy the moment without disturbing the performers.
