What to Expect
- 1.Plan to arrive a little early so you can grab coffee and start chatting with folks before the room fills up. Have a 30 second intro ready to share what you do and who you're hoping to connect with.
- 2.The crowd tends to be friendly and professional, with small, low pressure conversations. If you're introverted, hover near a coffee station or seating area and strike up a talk when someone asks about your business.
- 3.Bring business cards or have a digital contact method ready; people will want to exchange details. Focus on a couple of meaningful conversations rather than collecting cards.
- 4.Park in the lot and check in at the front desk when you arrive. The event will likely be in a common area or cafe, so follow the signage to the room.
- 5.Have a few open ended questions ready to break the ice. After you meet someone, send a quick follow up within 24 to 48 hours referencing what you talked about.
