Detroit Jazz Festival

About This Event

Full day of jazz performances across multiple stages in downtown Detroit.

What to Expect

• 1.Hart Plaza is outdoor and spread out across the riverfront, so have a rough plan to hop between stages but stay flexible for great jazz that pops up.
• 2.Crowd vibes are friendly and chatty, but it gets crowded around headlining acts, so choose your viewing spot early or move with the flow.
• 3.Food and drinks are available from vendors around the plaza; bring a refillable bottle and hydrate during the heat.
• 4.Logistics matter: use public transit or rideshare to avoid parking hassles, and bring sunscreen, a hat, and a light layer.
• 5.First timer tip: check the festival schedule ahead of time and pick a couple of favorite acts to target, but leave room for serendipity.
