Detroit Police Vehicle Auction

About This Event

The Detroit Police Department is holding a vehicle auction. Cash only. Bidders must have a valid driver's license and money on hand.

What to Expect

• 1.Arrive early to register and preview the lineup; bring a valid driver's license and cash on hand because the sale is cash-only; have funds ready and a plan for your max bid before bidding starts.
• 2.Inspect vehicles thoroughly during the preview—look for obvious mechanical issues, check VINs, and ask the staff about any known problems, since they’re sold as-is and with no warranties.
• 3.Learn the bidding process before you start; know how increments work and what the winning bid covers, including payment and pickup logistics.
• 4.If you win, be prepared to pay on the spot and arrange transport from the BBK towing yard; bring any tools or a plan to tow or move the vehicle home.
• 5.Dress for a yard environment and weather; wear closed-toe shoes and expect a busy, hands-on lot at 1821 Trombly Street—arrive with patience and a plan for parking and directions.
