Dino Tales with Sloan Museum

About This Event

Learn about prehistoric creatures as we observe and touch real fossils, build our own fossil model, and make a dinosaur tail. For ages 5-7.

What to Expect

• 1.This is a hands-on hour for ages 5–7, with real fossils to touch, a fossil model to build, and a dinosaur tail to make.
• 2.Arrive a little early so you can find the program space and get your child settled before the activities begin.
• 3.Plan to stay with your child and help with the crafts; the activities are designed for young kids, not drop-off participation.
• 4.Library rooms can feel busy once families arrive, so bring only what you need and keep an eye on your child's belongings.
• 5.If your child is shy, start by looking at the fossils together. Having a grown-up nearby can make it easier to join in.
