- 1.Arrive a bit early to sign in and find a seat in the Children's Program Room at the Farmington Hills location.
- 2.Expect a mix of skill levels from first-graders through older kids—rounds move quickly in a drop-in setting.
- 3.Keep noise and behavior library-friendly; speak softly and respect other families nearby.
- 4.If you’re new to chess, ask staff or an experienced kid for a quick rules refresher or a simple tactic.
- 5.Plan for a few rounds and coordinate with guardians; this is designed to be flexible and kid-focused.
