Earth Day Celebration
About this event
Celebrate Earth Day with recycled crafts, live animal interactions, free tree seedlings, and guided nature hikes.
What to Expect
- 1.Head to the main activity area early to grab one of the free tree seedlings and join the first guided nature hike before it fills up.
- 2.Dress for the outdoors with sturdy shoes and layered clothing, and bring water and sunscreen; the park trails can be grassy and uneven in the late afternoon.
- 3.There will be live animal interactions—keep kids within sight, don’t touch the animals unless staff says it’s OK, and avoid feeding them.
- 4.Check out the recycled crafts stations for hands-on activities; wear clothes that can handle a little craft mess and take your creations home as souvenirs.
- 5.Parking and moving around the park can involve some walking, so plan for extra time, follow posted Earth Day signs to the main zones, and bring a light jacket for the April weather.
