What to Expect

• 1.You'll see a family friendly setup at Martin Road Park with hay rides, pumpkin painting, and a trick-or-treat trail, so plan a loose loop to hit all the stations. If you want the hay ride, head to the line early after you park.
• 2.The crowd is casual and kid focused, with lots of strollers and families around. Stick to the main paths and keep an eye on little ones near the trick-or-treat trail.
• 3.There will be seasonal snacks like hot chocolate and kettle corn, but lines can be long and items may sell out, so bring a bottle of water and a small snack budget.
• 4.Parking is on site at the park, but it can fill up, so consider arriving a bit before 11 and be prepared to walk a short distance from the lot. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a light bag for haul.
• 5.Dress in layers for October weather in Ferndale and bring a tote bag for pumpkins and painted keepsakes; have a plan for meeting up if you split up with kids.
