What to Expect

• 1.Plan to park in the main lot at Hess-Hathaway Park and map out where the pumpkin patch and craft stalls are; it's a big park, so wear comfy shoes.
• 2.Bring cash and a card—some local crafters and food vendors may have limited payment options and lines can get long.
• 3.Dress for fall in Michigan: layer up, bring a hat or scarf, and wear waterproof shoes in case of damp ground or misty mornings.
• 4.There are free family activities scattered around the festival, so check the on-site schedule when you arrive and hit the ones your kids will love.
• 5.Expect crowds and plan for longer lines at popular vendors; budget time to wander the patch and explore the park.
