A dog-friendly 5K run/walk through Midtown and Downtown Detroit hosted by the Detroit Police Department and DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan.

What to Expect

• 1.You'll spend most of the morning weaving through Midtown and Downtown Detroit with plenty of friendly dogs on leash and spectators cheering you on.
• 2.The crowd is casual and welcoming, so you can cruise with your dog at your own pace and skip small talk if you want.
• 3.Water stations and finish line snacks are common but bring water for your dog and a collapsible bowl just in case.
• 4.Parking around Midtown can be tricky, so consider transit or arriving early to grab a good spot near the start and follow volunteer directions at intersections.
• 5.First timers should bring a leash on hand, a simple finish-time goal, and a plan for post-race cooldown so you can enjoy the event without stress.
