Il Volo

About This Event

The Italian operatic pop trio Il Volo performs live at the historic Fox Theatre.

What to Expect

• 1.Plan extra time for downtown Detroit parking and the Fox Theatre location at 2211 Woodward Ave—arrive at least 40 minutes before showtime to find your seat and settle in.
• 2.Fox Theatre is a historic, ornate venue with assigned seating, so double-check your seat location before you head in and enjoy the acoustics from a center-orchestra spot.
• 3.Il Volo typically performs a mix of operatic pop with Italian songs; translations won't always be on-screen, so having a quick sense of the repertoire helps you follow along.
• 4.Intermission lines can get long in a big theatre—use this time to stretch, grab a drink, and locate the restrooms so you don't miss the second act.
• 5.Dress smart-casual to formal to match the historic vibe of Fox Theatre; comfortable shoes help with the long lobby and stairs.
