Jurassic Park in Concert

About This Event

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra performs the iconic John Williams score live while the full-length film is projected on the big screen.

What to Expect

• 1.You'll get the full screenplay experience: the film on the big screen and a live orchestra delivering John Williams' score in real time. If you want the best audio, aim for a seat in the center orchestra or center balcony to catch both visuals and the conductor's cues.
• 2.The crowd is mostly quiet during the movie with occasional appreciative murmurs during big cues; people clap at end credits, not between scenes.
• 3.There's a lobby bar and concessions; intermission possibilities; if you want snacks, grab them before the film starts.
• 4.Orchestra Hall is in downtown Detroit; give yourself extra time for parking or rideshare drop off; tickets are scanned at entry.
• 5.If you're new to a live score film, keep your eyes on both the screen and the orchestra; switch between them to catch the conductor's gestures and the big moments.
