What to Expect

• 1.Arrive early to park and clear security—outdoor amphitheatres can have long lines, especially for a 7:30 show at Freedom Hill.
• 2.Decide on seating or lawn ahead of time: reserved seats offer a steady view while the lawn is cheaper but bring a blanket and check the venue's rules for chairs.
• 3.Dress for Michigan spring evenings: it gets chilly after sunset, so layer up and bring a light jacket; comfortable shoes matter for the long walk from parking to the venue.
• 4.Protect your ears and stay hydrated: outdoor venues can get loud, so consider earplugs and bring a refillable water bottle if allowed.
• 5.Plan meals and concessions: there are multiple stands but lines can be long—eat before you go or budget time for snacks and drinks near showtime.
