Light hike

About This Event

A light hike at Maybury State Park.

What to Expect

• 1.It's a casual, beginner-friendly hike on well-marked trails at Maybury State Park, with no set pace—you go at your own speed.
• 2.The crowd tends to be laid-back and friendly; expect other locals and fellow nature lovers.
• 3.Bring water and snacks, and wear sturdy shoes for uneven forest paths.
• 4.Arrive a bit early to park in the designated lot near Eight Mile West and pick up a park map; parking can fill up on weekends.
• 5.Dress in layers, as October mornings can be chilly and the weather can shift quickly; watch for ticks and use repellent.
