Lyon Township International Kite Festival

About This Event

A family-friendly event featuring professional kite flyers, kite making, and outdoor activities.

What to Expect

• 1.Arrive early to park and snag a good spot for the kite demos; the park can fill up, and you’ll want a clear view of the open field.
• 2.Stick around for the pro kite flyers—watch the aerial stunts and big display kites; a camera or zoom lens comes in handy.
• 3.Check out the kite-making activities; they’re a hands-on, family-friendly way to join the action, and slots can fill up fast.
• 4.Pack for an outdoor park day: plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat, and a blanket or portable chair for comfy grass seating.
• 5.Use the event map and volunteers to get around; expect some walking from parking areas and plan for peak times at popular demos.
