Marsh Clean Up (October)

About This Event

Wander the trails, boardwalks, and water's edge while removing litter. Canoes available for water cleanup weather permitting.

What to Expect

• 1.Arrive by 8:45 for volunteer check-in and parking near the main entrance on Haggerty Road. You will sign in and grab gloves and bags if they are provided.
• 2.Dress for mud and bugs. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, long sleeves, and bring sunscreen and insect repellent.
• 3.Canoe cleanup is weather permitting. If you want to try it, check the forecast ahead of time and bring quick-dry clothes and water shoes.
• 4.Bring a refillable water bottle and a small snack. There may not be amenities on-site, so plan accordingly.
• 5.First-timers will find the group welcoming. You'll be teamed up with others and can ask volunteers for quick guidance.
