Michigan Competing Band Competition

About This Event

Statewide competition for marching bands at Ford Field.

What to Expect

• 1.Expect multiple marching band performances and a competition format, so there will be stretches of watching from your seat rather than moving around.
• 2.Get there early enough to find your section and settle in before performances begin. A stadium can take longer to navigate than a smaller auditorium.
• 3.Stadium sound carries, and bands can be loud indoors. If you are sensitive to noise, bring earplugs, especially for younger kids.
• 4.Check Ford Field's current bag and entry rules before leaving, since stadium policies can affect what you bring and how quickly you get in.
• 5.Plan for stadium concessions rather than a full meal, and check ahead if you have dietary needs or want to know what food is available.
