What to Expect

• 1.Dress for the cool, variable evening temps—layer up, wear quick-dry clothing, and bring a light windbreaker.
• 2.Bring a headlamp or small flashlight for pre-launch checks and late packing; a dry bag for valuables is smart.
• 3.Arrive early to check in, rent gear if needed, and listen to the safety briefing; the group will launch together.
• 4.Bug spray near shore is handy and expect mosquitoes; keep noise down to avoid scaring wildlife.
• 5.Wear a PFD, stay with the group, give faster paddlers room, and follow any guide’s instructions if present.
