Music Mavens Songwriter Showcase

About This Event

Six incredible women take the stage for a night of raw, original storytelling through live music. Featuring Jacki Daniels, Ali McManus, Taylor Walls, Cara Jean, Melanie Mercadante, and Caitlin Cusack.

What to Expect

• 1.Six women perform original songs with storytelling woven through the sets. Expect intimate moments where the lyric and melody take center stage.
• 2.The crowd is generally supportive and focused on the music; you'll likely hear respectful silence during verses and applause after each number.
• 3.There will be beverages and light snacks typical of a theater setting; if you want a pre-show or intermission bite, plan to grab something nearby since options inside can be limited.
• 4.Logistics matter in downtown Detroit; plan parking or rideshare, arrive early for seat selection, and check the venue's bag policy.
• 5.Take note of the artists you connect with; this is a great chance to discover new singer-songwriters and follow their work after the show.
