Oakland County Veterans Resource Fair
About this event
Available for all veterans, active duty, guard and reserves, and their families. Giveaways include food boxes and community resources. Representatives will be onsite to serve all veterans, active duty, guard and reserves, and their families with these resources.
What to Expect
- 1.You’ll see a lineup of VA representatives, veterans service organizations, and local nonprofits with resource tables, and staff on hand to answer benefits questions; have a quick list of questions ready and take notes for follow-up.
- 2.The crowd skews toward veterans and their families, but volunteers help you navigate and point you to the right booths; it’s friendly and purpose-driven without feeling intimidating.
- 3.There are giveaways like food boxes and resource packets. There isn’t a full cafe on-site, so plan accordingly for meals or snacks.
- 4.Arrive a bit before 9 to park and check in. Bring your veteran ID or other documentation, and plan to spend 60–90 minutes walking the halls and talking with several reps.
- 5.If you’re a first-timer, bring a short list of resources you want, collect business cards, and don’t be afraid to ask for follow-up contact information to connect later.
