Patio Party

About This Event

A joint networking event with the Waterford and Lakes Area Chambers of Commerce featuring appetizers, a cash bar, and promotions from Detroit City Distillery.

What to Expect

• 1.Arrive a little early to scope the room and map out a few target contacts you want to chat with; the event's on CJ's Brewing Company's patio, so start near the entrance for easy introductions.
• 2.Have a tight elevator pitch ready and bring 30-second versions tailored to different industries; you’ll hear from Detroit City Distillery reps and fellow chamber members, so be ready to explain who you are in one breath.
• 3.Use the appetizers and the cash bar as icebreakers, and ask vendors about the promotions—it's a natural way to spark a conversation and learn what collaborations might be possible.
• 4.Keep a stack of business cards handy and jot a quick note on the back of each one about what you discussed; follow up within 24–48 hours to keep the connection fresh.
• 5.Dress business casual and bring comfortable shoes for standing on the patio; plan for weather and have a layer in case it gets breezy after sunset.
