Community blood drive hosted by the American Red Cross.
What to Expect
- 1.Check in early with a photo ID, and you’ll answer a quick health screening and donor questionnaire.
- 2.Eat a good meal and drink plenty of water beforehand, and wear a sleeves-up shirt for easy access.
- 3.The actual donation is quick and you’ll be seated; staff will check your pulse, blood pressure, and iron level before you donate, and the draw takes about 8-10 minutes.
- 4.After donation, hydrate and snack; rest for a few minutes before you leave to recover.
- 5.Parking at Wixom Community Center is available and the site is accessible; if you need help, ask a Red Cross volunteer.
