Community blood drive hosted by the American Red Cross at the Wixom Community Center.
What to Expect
- 1.Check in at the Wixom Community Center and you'll be directed to a quiet screening station before you sit in a comfortable chair for the donation. The nurse will ask a few quick health questions and check your finger prick before you donate.
- 2.Donor flow is calm and volunteers are friendly, but there's no pressure to chat if you'd rather just focus on the process.
- 3.After you donate there are snacks and drinks to help you recover, and staff will remind you to hydrate for the next 24 hours.
- 4.Logistics are straightforward park in the Wixom Community Center lot at 49015 Pontiac Trail, Wixom, MI, check in at the front desk, and plan for a total visit of about 45-60 minutes between 12:00 and 18:00.
- 5.First timers should wear a short sleeve shirt, bring a photo ID, and be honest on the health questionnaire; if you feel woozy at any point tell the staff and sit down.
