What to Expect
- 1.Dress in warm, waterproof layers with sturdy boots; winter trails are cold and can be slick, so pack extra socks and gloves.
- 2.If you're hiking with kids, pace the group for little legs, plan short breaks, and bring snacks and water.
- 3.Park at West Bloomfield Woods Nature Preserve and head to the Arrowhead Road trailhead; arrive a bit early to find parking and orient yourself.
- 4.Expect snow-covered, potentially icy paths; bring traction aids if you have them and stay on the marked trails to protect the preserve.
- 5.Bring a camera or phone for winter scenery and wildlife; listen to the group leader for route and safety instructions.
