St. Vincent LIVE with Detroit Opera Orchestra

About This Event

GRAMMY winner St. Vincent brings her acclaimed catalog to the Detroit Opera House for a first-ever limited run of orchestral performances, reimagined with the help of GRAMMY-winning orchestrator Jules Buckley and the Detroit Opera Orchestra.

What to Expect

• 1.You'll hear St. Vincent perform with the Detroit Opera Orchestra, reimagined with Jules Buckley conducting. Expect lush strings, cinematic swells, and playful twists on familiar songs as the arrangements unfold.
• 2.The Detroit Opera House is a grand downtown venue, so dress a step up and settle into a seated, formal atmosphere. It's not a mosh pit, but the energy can be electric as the orchestra swells.
• 3.Arrive a bit early to find your seat, locate the bar or concessions, and avoid a last minute scramble for programs.
• 4.Check your ticket for your exact seat and know the venue policies; this is typically assigned seating in a grand opera house, so arrive early to avoid rushing. There may be an intermission, so plan for a break and a chance to stretch.
• 5.Clap after full pieces rather than between movements unless the conductor cues otherwise, and bring a light wrap if the room is chilly.
