Storytimes
About this event
Join the library for an afternoon of stories and fun for children.
What to Expect
- 1.You’ll likely hear a librarian read short stories and lead simple sing-alongs, with kids invited to participate. There may be a small craft or activity to take home.
- 2.The crowd will be families with young children; seating is usually blankets or small chairs, so come prepared to share space and keep an eye on your little ones.
- 3.There are market vendors nearby, so you can grab a snack before or after the session, but watch for crumbs around the reading area and keep drinks away from the book area.
- 4.Arrive a bit early (about 10-15 minutes) to stake out seating and find the storytelling spot at the Walled Lake Market Place. Parking can fill up, and restrooms are usually around the market or library facilities.
- 5.Dress for weather and bring a small blanket or mat for kids to sit on; bring wipes, water, sunscreen, and a small bag with essentials in case you stay for extra market browsing after storytime.
