Tea and Treasures: A Toast to America

About This Event

This year's Tea and Treasures brings Detroit Opera's acclaimed Resident Artists back to The War Memorial for a program celebrating A Toast to America at 250—a musical journey through the scenes...

What to Expect

• 1.You’ll be treated to Detroit Opera’s Resident Artists performing a curated program that celebrates American scenes, more concert-focused than a full-scale opera production.
• 2.The War Memorial is a park setting, so seating is likely informal, with lawn or picnic-style arrangements—consider bringing a blanket or portable chair.
• 3.Plan to arrive a bit early to grab a good viewing spot and soak in the Tea and Treasures ambiance; there may be notes on concessions or a light reception on-site.
• 4.Since it’s outdoors, dress in layers and be prepared for lake breezes; bring sun protection if it’s sunny and a light jacket for the evening chill.
• 5.There may be a tea service or post-show reception related to the event theme—check the program or venue notes for details on any refreshments or special add-ons.
