U-M Wolverine Outdoor Stage
About this event
The University of Michigan takes over the stage for a day of curated programming featuring R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Folk artists in conjunction with the Concert of Colors.
What to Expect
- 1.The day stacks R&B, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Folk on the outdoor stage at the DSO Sosnick Courtyard, so plan to move around a bit between sets and bring a small blanket or compact chair for between acts.
- 2.Expect a casual, diverse crowd of students and locals, with plenty of friendly chatter but no pressure to mingle if you just want to listen.
- 3.Water and snacks may be limited on site, so bring a bottle of water, sunscreen, and a light snack; parking around Parsons Street can fill up, so consider rideshare or arriving early.
- 4.If you want to hop between acts, wear comfortable shoes and be ready to navigate a campus setting, with signage that may be modest and people spilling across open walkways.
- 5.Before you go, check the full schedule and pick 2 or 3 acts you want to see so you have a plan but still let yourself wander if you discover something unexpected.
