Wisdom Wednesdays

About This Event

Chess every Wednesday at Valade Park with Wise Guys Chess Club. All ages and experience levels welcome.

What to Expect

• 1.You'll find chess tables set up around Valade Park and a rotating group of players; jump into a quick game or just watch a bit to gauge the vibe before you join.
• 2.If you're new, just ask to sit in; people are friendly and will explain the basics without making a big deal out of it.
• 3.It's outdoors so bring water and a light jacket in case it cools, and be prepared for wind or weather changes; there might not be on site vendors.
• 4.Parking around Atwater Street can be tight after 6 pm, so consider arriving a bit early or using transit; plan for a walk from the lot to the board area, and you should be fine.
• 5.At the start, introduce yourself to the Wise Guys Chess Club crew and maybe swap contact info for next week; this weekly meetup is super low pressure and a great way to meet locals.
