12th Annual Oakland County Manufacturing Day

About This Event

A day designed to inspire students to consider careers in modern manufacturing through tours of design labs, testing centers, and assembly operations.

What to Expect

• 1.You'll move through design labs, testing centers, and assembly floors, so wear closed toe shoes and bring a notebook to capture useful career ideas.
• 2.The crowd will be mainly students with chaperones, but the tours are designed for quick informative stops, so you can bounce between stations at your own pace.
• 3.Park at the county campus lot and check in at the Oakland County Information Technology Department lobby on 1200 Telegraph Road in Pontiac; have a photo ID handy for visitor registration.
• 4.Expect a practical vibe but most stops focus on observation rather than participation, so ask questions during the guided Q and A.
• 5.Prepare a few career questions about skills and internships and be ready to take notes; mentors at the stops are usually happy to share.
