20th Annual Hungry Duck Race
About this event
Annual race event featuring a half marathon, 10K, and 5K run/walk.
What to Expect
- 1.Plan to arrive early for packet pickup and bib/chip collection, plus find a parking spot before the streets close for the race. Give yourself 20–30 minutes extra for security lines and warmups before the 6:30am start.
- 2.Dress for July weather and bring sun protection: moisture-wicking clothes, sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle if you can. Hydration stations will help you stay fueled through the 5K/10K/half marathon options.
- 3.Know there are three distances (5K walk/run, 10K, and half marathon) and pick your starting area accordingly so you don’t get boxed in or miss your preferred route.
- 4.Watch for street closures and course marshals along West Main Street; follow the cones and stay in your designated lane to keep the course smooth for everyone.
- 5.After you finish, expect a medal and post-race refreshments; grab your gear from the bag drop if available and check the results board to see your time and placement.
