• 1.The Detroit Autorama is huge—there are hundreds of cars across Huntington Place, so give yourself 3–4 hours and map out a route to the Ridler Award builds early on.
• 2.Wear comfy shoes and dress for indoor/outdoor Detroit weather; you’ll be on your feet a lot and the halls can swing between warm and cooler air.
• 3.Bring a charged phone or portable charger; you’ll want quick, good photos of standout cars without missing the next display.
• 4.Concessions within the venue can have lines, so plan meals around off-peak times or bring snacks and water to stay fueled as you wander the floor.
• 5.If you’re parking, get there early or consider rideshare; Huntington Place is downtown Detroit and nearby garages fill up fast on event days.
