- 1.Arrive a little before 9:30 to catch the steam engine demos and map out kid‑friendly routes around Greenfield Village.
- 2.Wear comfy shoes and bring a stroller or carrier—the village is spread out and you’ll be doing a lot of walking.
- 3.Look for hands-on stations where kids can safely interact with levers, wheels, or simple builds—follow the posted safety rules.
- 4.Pack snacks and water; food options inside the village can be limited, and there are outdoor areas for quick breaks with the family.
- 5.Check the schedule for indoor demonstrations and plan around weather, leaving extra time to move between exhibits.
- 6.Ask at the info desk about a family scavenger hunt or kid-specific activity sheet to keep the little ones engaged.
