What to Expect
- 1.Arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in at Boll Family YMCA and get in a quick warm-up before class starts.
- 2.Dress in form-fitting ballet-appropriate attire and bring ballet slippers or grip socks; the instructor will offer modifications if you’re new or unsure.
- 3.Expect a technique-focused, supportive vibe where you’ll work on balance, core engagement, turnout, and alignment with the barre for stability.
- 4.Stay hydrated and bring a water bottle; listen to the instructor about pacing and take breaks as needed—everyone learns at their own pace.
- 5.Plan for parking or transit near the Detroit YMCA location and arrive early enough to find the entrance; the facility is downtown, so allow extra time for building access and check-in.
