Between the Lines Book Discussion: The Road to Tender Hearts

About This Event

Discussion of 'The Road to Tender Hearts' by Annie Hartnett, a darkly comic novel about an old man on a cross-country mission.

What to Expect

• 1.Read the book beforehand if you want to join the discussion; the conversation will center on Annie Hartnett's darkly comic cross-country story.
• 2.Expect a quieter, seated library setting rather than a lively social mixer. You can listen without jumping into the conversation right away.
• 3.Arrive a little early to find the meeting room and settle in, since library events may take place away from the main entrance.
• 4.Bring a few thoughts or questions about the novel's humor and characters; one specific passage you noticed is an easy way to join in.
• 5.Don't count on food or drinks unless the library confirms they'll be provided, and check the library's event details for any registration requirements.
