A guided bird walk through the grounds of the historic Ford House. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars.
What to Expect
- 1.Wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars; the walk will traverse the Ford House grounds with several short stops to scan birds.
- 2.Arrive a bit early to park near the Ford House along Lake Shore Road and meet the guide before departure.
- 3.Keep voices low and move at a relaxed pace; the guide will point out birds and explain what you’re seeing.
- 4.May mornings can be cool and damp in Michigan—dress in layers and bring water and a light jacket.
- 5.Amenities on-site may be limited, so plan for snacks or a quick break and follow the group’s lead on restroom stops.
