An introductory class on birdwatching techniques and local species identification.
What to Expect
- 1.The class starts indoors with a short intro, then you head outside to practice birdwatching in campus green spaces.
- 2.The crowd is a casual mix of students and locals, and interaction is optional so you can just soak up the content.
- 3.Parking after 6 pm on campus can be busy, so give yourself extra time and use the lots near the Auburn Hills campus.
- 4.Bring a notebook and any binoculars or field guides you have. The instructor will share simple ID tips for local species.
- 5.Expect some outdoor walking and variable weather, so bring water and either sunscreen or bug spray.
