BSides Detroit

About This Event

An information security conference that provides an open platform for security experts and enthusiasts to share knowledge.

What to Expect

• 1.Arrive early for badge pickup and to map out the sessions; parking near TechTown Detroit can fill up, so give yourself extra time.
• 2.Bring a laptop and charger—many talks have demos or hands-on content, and outlets can be scarce in bar seating, so a small power bank helps.
• 3.Use the official schedule and take advantage of the hallway track; after talks, introduce yourself to speakers and chat with other attendees to deepen what you’re learning.
• 4.The venue is a bar-like space, so expect a casual, social vibe; stay hydrated and balance conversation with focus during talks.
• 5.Plan your transport and food options around 440 Burroughs Street; nearby parking or rideshares are useful, and grab a bite before or after sessions since options inside the venue may be limited.
