City Commission Meeting

About This Event

Regular meeting of the Birmingham City Commission.

What to Expect

• 1.Check the city's posted agenda before you go so you can find the items you care about; regular commission meetings can cover several unrelated topics.
• 2.Arrive a little early to locate the meeting room and get settled. The venue listing gives a street address but not a specific room.
• 3.If you want to speak, look up the meeting's public-comment rules and sign-up process beforehand. Speaking time and when comments are accepted can vary.
• 4.Expect a formal, mostly seated meeting rather than a social event. Bring something quiet to do if you plan to stay through the full agenda.
• 5.Keep your comments focused and concise, especially if the room is busy or several residents are waiting to speak.
