Detroit to Austin Comedy Challenge

About This Event

A comedy challenge featuring local talent competing for a spot in Austin. Ages 18 and up.

What to Expect

• 1.You're going to see a slate of local comics competing for a shot at Austin—expect short sets, a mix of punchlines and crowd work, and some callbacks to the Detroit-to-Austin angle.
• 2.The room at Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle is intimate, so you're close to the stage—arrive early to grab a good seat.
• 3.Food and drinks are part of the night, plan to grab something between acts so you don't miss a beat of the show.
• 4.Parking in Royal Oak can be tricky; give yourself some extra time and be prepared for a short walk to the venue.
• 5.If you're new to comedy clubs, keep expectations flexible—the night will feature a range of styles, and the best bits often come from late sets.
