Disney's The Lion King

About This Event

The six-time Tony Award-winning musical features stunningly immersive set pieces and award-winning choreography.

What to Expect

• 1.Arrive early to park and snag your seat in the Detroit Opera House; big venue, stairs and long corridors mean you want time to settle in without rushing.
• 2.The Lion King is heavy on puppetry and dancing—keep your focus on the stage, and remember flash photography isn’t allowed during the show.
• 3.Dress nicely but be comfortable; the Opera House is a refined venue, and comfortable shoes help you handle the seat layout and long intermissions.
• 4.Intermission exists—use it to stretch, check out the lobby, or grab a snack; lines for concessions can be long, so plan before or after.
• 5.If you’re bringing kids, set expectations for bright visuals and big sound; choose seats with a good view so the puppetry is clearly visible from mid-orchestra or mezzanine.
