Drum in the Sun

About This Event

A community drumming event held at Independence Oaks County Park to celebrate the summer season.

What to Expect

• 1.You'll likely join a community drumming circle or watch a diverse mix of percussionists in a sunny park setting. If you have a small drum or shaker, bring it to participate; otherwise you can clap along and follow the rhythm.
• 2.The crowd tends to be casual and family-friendly; feel free to wander around but be mindful of space near performers and other participants.
• 3.Pack water, sunscreen, and insect repellent for an outdoor noon event. Shade can be limited, so plan ahead.
• 4.Parking at Independence Oaks can fill up, so arrive a bit early; plan for an outdoor event without guaranteed shade or seating.
• 5.If you're new to this, start with a simple rhythm or join the circle when you're comfortable—it's a welcoming, collaborative vibe.
